Ooho is the edible bottle of the future, conceived by a team of young designers in London. It consists of an edible plastic film produced from seaweeds, that is designed to hold portions of water thus avoiding the use of PET plastic, as it normally happens. The product has been realised in prototypes only and it is not in production yet.
The Skipping Rocks Lab is leading the project.
Ooho permits to save 5 times the CO2 emitted and 9 times the energy consumed in PET plastic production. The objective of the promoters is to elaborate solutions to substitute even other forms of packaging.
