Description
"Ristorante Solidale is created to contribute to the food waste reduction in Italy, helping disavantaged community by food donations. Officially launched on 21 december 2016, the project started in Milan with the first delivery. The 30 march a new community is reached and in april it is established with monthly deliveries. A total of 154 meals and 300 pizzas have been donated by the associated restaurants to the Reflettorio Ambrosiono. The mission is to reach other italian cities in the next years. Social Innovation, food delivery technology and solidarity are unified, transforming food leftovers and fresh products by the partners. The project is realized with PonyZero, that manages the deliveries in some communities. All the restaurants that are part of Just Eat can apply for participating to the project."

Ristorante Solidale is conceived by Just Eat (global leader in food delivery), with the patronage of Milano Municipality and the support of Caritas Ambrosiana. For delivering the food it is activated a collaboration with Pony Zero, a company specializes in zero emission deliveries.
