Vittore Negretto, architect, is a PhD student and research fellow at the IUAV University of Venice. Since February 2016 he has been engaged by IUAV’s research group on Planning and Climate Change. Together with this group, Vittore has developed and realized numerous research projects both Italian and European. Vittore holds an M.Arch. in Architecture from the IUAV University of Venice (Innovation and Sustainability) and a B.Arch. in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan (Architecture’s sciences). He is currently developing his PhD research on climate change adaptation and urban environments. During his working experience with IUAV, Vittore gained international experience by following and realizing EU-funded projects, participating at 20+ conferences, tutoring international workshops (USA, Spain, Portugal and Italy), teaching in Master’s and Bachelor’s classes at IUAV and working as a consultant for Italian Municipalities. During the studies, he spent some time as visiting student at the Universitat de Alicante and as an observer at the Office of Planning in Washington D.C. His research projects embrace the research themes of Urban Resilience, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation, Disaster Risk Reduction, Circular Economy and Maritime Spatial Planning.
